Baby boy- Week 24

Total weight gain: 4 lbs gained according to the scale at the doctors office, with shoes, jeans, sweater ect on. My scale at home says only 2. I like that better!
Maternity clothes? Shirts. Still able to fit in my regular jeans with no problem! Dr. Gates was very impressed with that, especially with it being baby #2.
Stretch marks? No! And lets keep it that way!
Sleep: still sleeping great! Still taking Unisom
Best moment this week: Hearing at my 24 week appointment that everything is still looking good & going smoothly! Putting the crib together and working on his room.
Miss Anything? Wine. TANNING!
Movement: Surprised I haven't felt any hiccups yet. I felt them with Raegan by now. But she was also jammed up under my rib cage. He is still low on my bladder.
Food cravings: No cravings. Loving sweets and cutie oranges
Anything making you queasy or sick: As long as I take my Unisom, I'm good.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Some BH contractions, always tired, some round ligament pain
Belly Button in or out? In, for now.

Baby boys room- update 2

Over the weekend we (Ryan) painted the baby's room and put up his chair rail. We used Sherwin Williams Naval for the bottom and Lime Granita for the top. We (Ryan) then put up the chair rail. His new crib was suppose to be delivered Saturday, but it never got here, it arrived Monday. We (Ryan) put it together, in only about an hour, when he got home from work. This is the crib I wanted for Raegan 3 years ago but it was a little out of our price range at that time. I got lucky and found it on sale, plus I had an email for an additional 14% off (random amount, I know) and free 2 day shipping. So we got it and saved almost $100.

Sorry for the terrible picture quality... iPhone pics

Crib sheet with little alligators on it! So cute!

Raegan's old changing table/dresser. Still need a changing pad cover.

Soccer Raegan!

Yes, that is what she calls herself. Soccer Raegan! She says it in a deep, serious voice. It's hilarious.

Raegan started Little Kickers indoor soccer in Carmel last week. It is an hour long parent and me class. She absolutely loved every second of it. First off, her jersey. Can she get any cuter? She had her pick of #2 or #10. Ryan's high school football number was 10 and my club number for 2 years in high school was 10 so we picked #10.

Class started off by running "sprints" on the field and stretching. She was a little shy and hesitant at first but warmed up quickly. We played red light, green light, which she loved because she loves being my little back seat driver now that she is forward facing in her car seat and telling me green means go and red means stop. Oh and yes, yellow means go faster! We also played a shark game, where they run or jump around and then the coach yells "SHARK" and the players have to jump in their boat, which was little circle mat they would throw down then jump on. We played freeze tag and then finally started playing soccer. They worked on dribbling and shooting and Raegan did great. She's a natural. She gets it from me! She scored the first goal and couldn't get enough of it. We finished up by playing the cone stacking game and then kicking them over to working on their kicking skill, slid down the parachute slide and stomping on bubbles. She didn't want to leave and keeps asking when Soccer Raegan gets to play again!

Can't wait to go back again Saturday!

Baby boys room- update 1

I scored this chair on Craigslist for $50 and just a couple miles away! Amazing right?! It is so comfy and in such great shape. I just wish it had an ottoman that went with it. I love that it is green, well more of a sage color, and looks like it will match his bedding great.

Baby boy is getting Raegan's old dresser and we are ordering a new crib for him. Raegan's old crib is now the headboard of the guest bed and I don't trust Ryan to put it back together correctly and safely. And who knows if all the parts made the move or if Ryan threw some out because he didn't want to move them.

Baby Bear's bedding is Bananafish Nantucket. It is so cute and preppy. Blue and green with little alligators. We are going to paint his room this weekend. The bottom part will be navy blue, white chair rail and then the top will be light green.

We have a little rug, window valance, and a little alligator picture for the wall. We need to decide on a name so I can make the letters to hang above the crib. I'm not sure what other decor we will do. His room is about half the size of Raegan's so luckily we don't have as much wall space to fill.

And the whole name game... I think we might have a name. But I'm still not ready to buy the letters and hang them on the wall. My friend Abbey gave me some very good advice the other day. She asked if someone else were to use that name, either before baby bear was born or if we don't use it and then someone else does, how would we feel? Well that pretty much sealed the deal for me. I would be pissed. I feel like I came up with this name, I'm not really sure how I did because it's not a common. In 2010 there were less than 300 baby boys given this name in the US. It was like 1132 on the SSA baby name list. I don't know of anyone with this name, nor have I ever heard of someone with this name. If you google it, nothing really comes up about it being a name for a person. But Ryan and I really like it. It sounds good with Raegan and it actually works with our last name. The middle name will probably be Ryan instead of Joseph like it technically should be to carry on family tradition. But thats all I am saying for now. We aren't telling the name as of now because honestly I don't know if people will like it and I don't want to hear peoples options on it. Once he is here and that is his name no one can do anything about it. Plus, since it's not a popular name we want to make sure it fits him once we see him.

Raegan's room

This weekend Ryan painted Raegan's new room and put up a chair rail. My vote was for a teal green color because her curtains, lamp and other accessories are bright pink. Raegan and Ryan wanted pink. Yes, Ryan wanted her to have a pink room. We took a sample of her bedding to Sherwin Williams and matched a lighter shade of pink in the bedding. Or as I call it, Pepto Bismol pink. We decided to paint just the bottom half of the wall, put the chair rail up and leave the top white. Ryan did a great job and it turned out great. Her dresser finally came in and it took Ryan no time at all to put it together. Now I just need to get my butt in gear and refinish the end table in her room and she really needs a new rocking chair. Her rocker glider doesn't match her room anymore and it is being held together by a thread. Oh and obviously decorations. I have no clue what we are going to do. I need to repaint her name letters to pepto bismol pink and get new ribbon and hang them up over her bed. I plan on ordering a "You are my sunshine" decal from etsy (we sing that every night before bed) but besides that I have no clue what else to do to fill up the white space.

23 weeks

How far along? 23 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure... I am scared what the scale will say at the doctor office next week. Probably +5 with the way I've been eating sweets lately.
Maternity clothes? Shirts. Still in regular jeans. I tried to wear a pair of maternity jeans but had to use a belly band to hold them up because they are way too big.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping great... still taking unisom. I tried to not take it over the weekend and ended up sick and puking the next day.
Best moment this week: Raegan starting soccer, painted her big girl room and getting the rest of baby boys bedding delivered. Oh and scoring an awesome, super comfy rocking chair off Craigslist for $50.
Miss Anything? Wine
Movement: He hasn't been as active this week.
Food cravings: I still wouldn't say I have any cravings but I am loving Cuties Clementines. Raegan and I eat like 4-5 a day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Unfortunately sweets which I have been loving. I hope I don't have GD. I puked after eating frozen yogurt the other night, felt really sick after eating a cupcake, and then I feel sick after eating 2-3 oranges in one sitting.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy and tired.
Looking forward to: painting the nursery, the crib being delivered.

Life in the new year!

We have been keeping busy thats for sure. I have started watching another little baby. So on Mondays and Wednesday I have 3 little girls plus Raegan. Raegan is the oldest at 2.5, Kaylie is 1.5, Whitney is 6 months and now new baby Claire who is 3 months. Tuesdays Raegan goes to school so its just me and Claire, and Thursday and Fridays its Claire and Raegan.

Raegan was excited to go back to school after Christmas break and I was ready for her to go back. This week was already sign up time for next year. I can't believe my baby is going to be going to junior preschool 2 days a week! My baby will be in preschool, PRESCHOOL! Oh my. We find out later this spring which days she got, we had to give our first, second and third pick of days, and times. Morning or afternoon. Even though Raegan doesn't take naps anymore I want her in the mornings and hopefully on Tuesday/Thursday. We are discussing if she will be doing lunch bunch one or two days a week.

I signed Raegan up to start playing soccer with Little Kickers in Carmel on Saturdays. I am so excited and she will be too! She has been asking to play soccer and kicks her soccer balls all over the house. I put it off during the fall since I was so sick but now I am ready for her to start. This session goes until mid March. I hope she loves it and becomes the next Mia Hamm! I can not wait to see her out there playing. Yes, I am officially a soccer mom! Dream come true!

Baby boy got his carseat delivered that daddy picked out, Grandpa and Becky got it for him. Grandma Hahaj bought him some of his bedroom accessories, like his rug, mobile, a pillow, art work, sheets, and window valance. We ordered his bedding. But still need to figure out which crib we want, get that ordered and paint the room.

Raegan's new 5 drawer chest got delivered and Ryan put it together tonight. Her room still needs painted and I have some Pinterest projects to do for her room too.

Our new bedroom furniture got delivered Tuesday. I love it. I finally feel like a real adult with matching furniture. Not mine from college, his from college, random this, random that. We got new bedding to go with it too and Ryan actually let me get purple! Never thought he would agree to it.

But more importantly baby boy still doesn't have a name. We can't decide on anything. Ryan shoots down everything I suggest- Nolan, Rhett, Mason, ect. But he wont come up with any. He just veto's my suggestions. We have two that we agree on but neither are for sure. One is too popular for me to really love it. I don't want my kid to be one of three in their class with that name, like I was when I was in elementary school. I hated it. As I got older I ended up just going by my last name. I have a feeling that we wont decide on a name until he is here. We are pretty sure the middle name will be Ryan. Originally we thought it would be Joseph but now we are liking Ryan more. Raegan shoots down all my names I suggest too. They are a tough crowd. Raegan was easy to name. We originally thought Haley Grace. But as soon as we found out it was a girl I said no. She's not a Haley. But by that night it was between Raegan and Reese. Ryan told me that Raegan meant "little king" except spelled Reagan. Ryan means king. So that made up my mind that she would be Raegan, and she is pretty much a little Ryan, so its fitting. Still to this day I have't looked up the meaning of her name to see if that is what it really means or if Ryan just told me that so he would get his choice of names. I was leaning more towards Reese (or Hadley) at the time. I need to find a name I really love that he's not sure about and try and trick him into it. Let's see what I can come up with over the next couple of weeks!
