I started Raegan in swim lessons in February. One class a week for 30 minutes. The place and the teachers are awesome. There are only 4 kids per class max and always extra teachers in the pool helping out. I was so impressed after 2 weeks with Raegan that I started Baylor in an infant class. I am not a fan of having to get in the pool with him every week but he is such a water baby and loves it. Raegan is working on going underwater. She does not like putting her face in or going all the way under. She has been improving more and more every week. She does go under and puts her face in. She has mastered wall walking and climbing out. She still doesn't like to jump in without someone catching her though. She has almost mastered floating on her back by herself which is an amazing improvement. Week one she wouldn't lean her head back and let water get in her ears, she had to rest her head on the teachers shoulder but shes getting it! Another proud mommy moment!
Baylor's classes are crazy. Day one he is going under water, working on climbing out by himself, jumping in and going under water. By class 3 the teacher and I stand about 3-4 feet apart and she sends him under water and he swims under water to me. Mind blown! He will put his face in the water and working on figuring out how to blow bubbles. B's class is great because we go while R is at school and most of the time we are the only ones there. Love the private class.
We will continue swim lessons through the spring and as of now plan to take the summer off so we can enjoy the outdoor neighborhood pool! Plus Raegan will be busy with dance camp, church camp, Vacation Bible School and vacations! How is my baby old enough to go to summer camps?
