Hello family, friends, and all who are lucky enough to receive this letter because Amy and I continue to neglect updating our address book of constantly relocating friends.
As we draw near the end of 2010, I am a big believer in sitting down and reflecting on all the amazing things that have happened throughout the year. I am an even bigger believer in exaggerating those amazing things beyond belief, making our year sound even more eventful.
First and foremost Raegan turned 1, which means Amy and I survived our first year of having no clue how to raise a child. I must say we did pretty well. Raegan is currently reading at a 6th grade level, thus having the ability to teach me how to spell so many words I never took the time to learn. Raegan has even taken time out of her busy schedule to expand her mother’s cooking knowledge beyond frozen or pre-cooked meals.
Amy has done an excellent job of being "super mom". Not only has she kept the house spotless and her family fed she has even started training the other mothers in Fishers Indiana on how to be "super" as well. A few local investors caught wind of this training and decided to help Amy start her very own university. After much thought it has been decided it should be called The University of Indiana. Thanks to Kevin Wilson, the new IU head football coach for the idea!!!
Outside of expanding my vocabulary beyond words that are 6 letters or less (Raegan has been really pressing me hard on my spelling) and playing assistant to the President of The University of Indiana, I won the lottery. 2.8 million to be exact. I thought about retiring but Amy did not let me, forcing me to get an entry level position at the local Coach store. Trust me, with a habit like hers, we would be broke if I did not receive the employee discount on all of her coach purses.
Anyone jealous???
In all seriousness, things are going very well. Raegan is one and she is acting like a one year old should. She sings and dances all day long and loves going to the baby gym to play with all the kids.
Amy really is a super mom and every day I count my blessings that she picked me to spend her life with! I also count my blessings that she babysits a friend’s six month old child two days a week, best birth control ever!
I am not working at coach, though I am sure Amy would love it if I was. I am working at an IT consulting firm downtown Indianapolis and continue to wish for early retirement and proudly invest $1.00 per week in the lottery in support of that dream.
Raegan, Amy and I would like to say thank you and we love each of you who have touched our lives in so many ways. It is because of you we have the ability to feel this blessed over the holiday season.
Cheers,
- Ryan, Amy and Raegan Hahaj
